Areas of Development
Infants learn about the world around them through their senses. Each day your child will be discovering things using all five senses, copying simple actions of the people around them, experimenting with toy instruments, exploring textures, colors, and learning a variety of words and sounds through playing with other children. We offer our Park Place Infants a wide range of sensory experiences to encourage exploration, which is critical to their development as connections are beginning to form.
Infants are given opportunities to be placed on their tummies allowing them to stretch and move. They gain needed core strength, which becomes essential as they begin to crawl and pull themselves up. Music and movement and gross motor activities progressively evolve with each child.
As infant development progresses, our educators facilitate additional learning outcomes that include self-feeding, hand/eye coordination and labeling body parts.
From structured storytelling, songs, games and fun arts and crafts to free play with toys and blocks and learning to socialize with their new little friends, our educators will guide each child as they experiment with all that the carefully designed Baby Rooms offer and as they progress in their development.
Your Infant's Day
Our educators create an integration schedule that is right for you and your child and we incorporate their own established family routines so they feel secure and comfortable in their new group environment independent from their primary family.
Each day is filled with carefully designed activities structured around the key dimensions of development - physical & motor, cognitive, emotional, social & moral and language. Our educators modify activities according to the progress and developmental stages of our infants and each individual child.
Our youngest children at Park Place begin their learning and developmental journey through purposeful play.

As the first stage of language communication, we teach the infants sign language to help them interact with the world around them, which gives them confidence and calm as they continue to develop their language skills. Our educators provide an engaging language-rich environment that encourages our infants to communicate through positive interactions.
